Description:
The Ottawa Valley Health Centre is an excellent example of the results achievable through the collaborative spirit of IDP (Integrated Project Delivery). Inspired by a community need to recruit healthcare professionals and provide an alternative for locally-based promary care, the centre will facilitate the promotion of health in the Upper Ottawa Valley. The visionaries, comprising the owner, West Champlain Healthy Community Corporation and community partners such as the Pembroke Regional Hospital and the Grey Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, engaged a dedicated team of contractor (M. Sullivan and Son Ltd.), architects, consulting engineers and sub-contractors who worked as an integrated team to realize what has been described by visitors as an "outstanding", "bright, spacious, warm and inviting" building.
